What is Sew Indie NZ?

We're an online store, selling womens and mens sewing patterns by independent pattern designers from around the world.

There are a lot of great patterns and designs out there, but let's face it - living in NZ can get pretty expensive. Exchange rates, foreign currency transaction fees, and of course - the dreaded international postage rates. It's often too expensive to purchase one indie pattern from overseas. So, we've set about making it easy and stress-free! Bringing indie patterns to New Zealand - in NZ dollars, and with NZ domestic shipping. Far cheaper, and far easier for you.

Why have we done this? Because we love sewing. And we love indie designers. We want to share that love. (*cue images of fluffy kittens and love hearts. And sewing machines - always sewing machines.*)

How much is shipping?

Do you ship internationally?

Yep, we sure do! You can see the postage rates for Australia and the USA and Canada on our shipping page.

How do I pay for my order?

We use Paypal - it's well known, safe, and easy.

If you're in New Zealand, you can also choose to pay by internet banking.

What happens if I need to return my order?

We want you to be happy with what you ordered, but we know that sometimes mistakes happen, and people order the wrong pattern. (Whoops!) As long as you get in touch with us within 7 days of your order arriving, we will be happy to exchange your purchase.

Please note that the pattern/s must be in their original, unopened and unfolded condition. You will be responsible for the cost of postage for returning your order. 

We do not offer refunds unless there is a fault and we are unable to offer a replacement .

In Paraparaumu, NZ.

Do you have a physical store?

Interesting question... While we don't have an 'official' store, we always love meeting fellow stitchers, so if you're in Paraparaumu and would like to browse the pattern collection in person, let us know and we'll arrange a time for you to visit Sew Indie NZ for a cup of tea, sewing chats, and pattern browsing. ;-)
