I'm so excited to have one of my favourite indie pattern brands instore - Sew Over It, from London! Sew Over It design a gorgeous range of womenswear, with a nod to vintage styling of the 1940's, 50's and 60's. Everything from trousers to party dresses, and from garments suitable for beginners to more complicated sews, there's something for everyone in their range. Plus, they have the more beautiful packaging - lovely matt colours, vintage-styled illustrations, and each pattern has a different colour-and-pattern combination on it's cover. Hailing from Canada, Victory Patterns are a range of gorgeous and unique womenswear designs, blending vintage and modern aesthetics. Victory are known for creating patterns with unusual details and fun styles. The Anouk dress and top features a decorative placket, fitted yoke, and pintucks. Republique du Chiffon design gorgeous patterns, in a wide range of styles. Taking inspiration from all eras from the 1920's through to the now, they add a dose of French fashion style and mix it all together to create a fun collection. We have 15 of their designs now instore, ranging from shorts to dresses, blouses to jackets. I love summer - warm days, sunshine, and plenty of excuses to make and wear summer dresses! I've just finished making the Sylvie dress by Christine Haynes, in a cream quilting cotton with a pink, purple and yellow pattern on it. This was my first time making a Christine Haynes pattern, although I've had my eye on quite a few of her designs for a while.
